Terms of Use
Last updated: July 11, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Angry Examiner(“Service”, “Platform”), available at angryexaminer.com and any related applications, provided by Scalaze Negócios Digitais LTDA (CNPJ 54.197.254/0001-70), with registered address at Rodovia José Carlos Daux, 5500, Sala 211, Bloco Campeche A, Saco Grande, Florianópolis — SC, 88032-005, Brazil (“we”, “us”, or “Scalaze”).
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, or under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the informed consent and continuous supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and remains legally responsible for your use of the Platform.
By using the Service, you represent that: (i) the information you provide is true and up to date; (ii) you meet the age requirement above; and (iii) if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
Accounts are created through our authentication provider Clerk (including third-party sign-in options such as Google or Apple). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@angryexaminer.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not create more than one account, share your account, or transfer it to another person without our written consent.
3. Description of the Service
The Service is an exam-preparation platform that generates practice questions, explanations, and voice narration (on the Academic Weapon plan) using artificial intelligence, and tracks your progress across study campaigns. Features, contents, and limits available to you depend on the plan you subscribe to and may evolve over time.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
The Service offers a free plan (“Cooked”) and paid plans:
- Survivor — US$6/month (or discounted annual price).
- Academic Weapon — US$9/month (or discounted annual price). Up to 10 active exams, all missions, voice narration, and the performance dashboard.
Paid plans are billed by Clerk and processed by Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, according to the plan you choose) and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may be updated in the future; any price change will apply only to future billing cycles and will be communicated in advance.
Cancellation: you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then.
Refunds: except when required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable. This does not affect statutory rights that may apply under Brazilian consumer law (Código de Defesa do Consumidor — Lei 8.078/1990), including the right of withdrawal within 7 (seven) days from contracting the Service under CDC art. 49, when applicable.
Failed payments: if a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until the payment is settled or the subscription is cancelled.
5. Acceptable use
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial exam preparation. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to third parties without our written consent;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts;
- Submit prompts or content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, sexual (particularly involving minors), or otherwise abusive, or use the AI features to generate such content;
- Automate or overload the Service beyond fair use limits, including circumventing rate limits or anti-abuse controls.
6. AI-generated content and accuracy
Practice questions, explanations, and voice narrations are generated by third-party AI models (currently provided by xAI and ElevenLabs). They are a study aid, not authoritative answers, and may contain errors, omissions, or biases. You should always verify important information against your official course material, textbooks, and past exam papers. The Service does not guarantee any specific academic result.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the Platform, including software, design, brand, and generated content templates, are owned by or licensed to Scalaze. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.
You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service (for example, the names of the exams you create). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (Clerk, Stripe, Supabase, xAI, ElevenLabs, Voyage AI). Your use of those providers via the Platform is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, except as required by applicable law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Service. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately, and we will handle your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or accuracy of AI-generated content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or academic performance. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for damages that cannot be excluded under Brazilian consumer law or other mandatory law.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Platform or by email at least 15 days before they take effect (or such longer period as required by law). Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be submitted to the courts of the District of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina, Brazil, except when Brazilian consumer law grants you the right to bring the matter before the court of your own domicile.
